About Us

The Universal Yoga Sports Federation (UYSF) was established in 2021 under the visionary leadership of Mr. Suresh Kumar, with a mission to promote Yogasana as a global sport and unite athletes, judges, and organizations from across the world under one banner of harmony, discipline, and excellence.

UYSF has rapidly evolved into one of the world’s leading yoga sports organizations, hosting international championships, cultural festivals, and global award ceremonies that celebrate talent, cultural exchange, and the true spirit of yoga as a sport.

Over the years, UYSF has successfully organized several prestigious international events, strengthening global unity and recognition of Yogasana as a competitive discipline.

Annual Events Organized by UYSF

1. UYSF World Yoga Cup

Held annually, this grand event gathers top Yogasana athletes from around the world to showcase their strength, balance, and artistry in both Traditional and Artistic categories.

• The 3rd World Yoga Cup 2024 was held in Rishikunda, Vizag, India.

• The 4th World Yoga Cup 2025 will continue this legacy, bringing together international champions and federations from all continents.

2. UYSF Asia Pacific Yogasana Championship

An annual continental championship held across Asia, promoting regional cooperation, friendship, and cultural unity through Yogasana Sports.

• The 2nd Asia Pacific Championship 2024 took place at the Grand Palazzo Hotel, Pattaya, Thailand.

• The upcoming 3rd edition (Asia Pacific 3.0) will be hosted in Malaysia and Singapore in 2025, expanding UYSF’s reach across Southeast Asia.

3. UYA/UYSF Global Yoga Award Ceremony

This annual celebration of excellence honors yoga masters, teachers, coaches, and contributors for their outstanding dedication to promoting yoga and Yogasana Sports worldwide.

• The 5th Global Yoga Award 2024 was celebrated in Pattaya, Thailand, recognizing distinguished achievers — including the prestigious Grand Master of Yoga Award presented to Ms. Chantal Homschied (Germany).
